About

A privilege accorded by the Faculty of Westtown School to seniors since 1968, the Senior Project challenges students to take ownership of and have a powerful voice in their education and development as learners and individuals. Senior Projects give students the opportunity to create an independent experience, away from the familiar classroom setting, with a focus on independent inquiry and personal growth.

Every student who successfully completes the Senior Project will have planned, organized, implemented, evaluated, documented and represented a sustained personal effort. The Senior Project is an opportunity for students to discover and demonstrate what they know, what they can accomplish and how they have grown through experiential learning, and to share their achievements with peers, faculty, parents, alumni and the wider community.

The Senior Project is a capstone to learning in the Westtown community and an entryway to post secondary pursuits.

We commit to a trust that each Senior Project will be a transformative life experience.
